Rental Agreement

This page is a plain-English summary of our standard rental terms. The binding agreement is the document you sign at pickup, which controls in case of any conflict.

1. Driver requirements

• Minimum age 25. No exceptions.
• Valid U.S. or international driver's license, presented at pickup.
• Clean driving record (no DUIs, no major violations in the last 3 years).
• Only listed drivers on the agreement may operate the vehicle.

2. Insurance

Renter must provide proof of full-coverage personal auto insurance with liability and collision covering the rental vehicle. Supplemental coverage is available through us at additional cost. You are responsible for any damage not covered by insurance.

3. Security deposit

A refundable security deposit ($1,500 – $5,000 depending on vehicle) is authorized on a major credit card at pickup. The deposit is released within 7 business days of a clean return.

4. Mileage

200 miles per day are included. Additional miles are billed at the rate shown on the signed agreement (typically $3 – $7 per mile depending on vehicle). Out-of-state travel requires prior written approval.

5. Fuel

Vehicles are delivered with a full tank and must be returned full. Otherwise a refueling fee at market rate plus a $50 service charge applies.

6. Prohibited uses

• Racing, track use, off-road driving, or any motorsport activity.
• Towing, transport of goods for hire, or commercial ride-share.
• Driving under the influence of alcohol, cannabis, or any controlled substance.
• Smoking, vaping, or transporting animals (unless approved in writing).
• Operating the vehicle outside the United States.

7. Damage and loss

Renter is responsible for any damage to or loss of the vehicle during the rental period, including diminished value, loss of use, and administrative fees, regardless of fault. All damage is documented at pickup and return with photos.

8. Traffic and parking

Renter is responsible for all traffic violations, tolls, parking tickets, and red-light or speed-camera citations incurred during the rental, plus a $50 administrative fee per citation.

9. Late return

Returns more than 30 minutes late are billed an additional hour at 1.5× the hourly rate. Returns more than 2 hours late are billed a full additional day.

10. Cancellation

Bookings cancelled 7+ days before pickup receive a full refund. Cancellations within 7 days forfeit 50% of the rental fee; within 48 hours forfeit 100%. Weather-related cancellations are reviewed case-by-case.

11. Repossession

We reserve the right to repossess the vehicle without notice if the agreement is violated, the vehicle is misused, or payment cannot be verified.
